I have been on a roll. For about 6 weeks I have been staying up late and spending all my free time thinking and working on my business. And I really didn't want to do anything else. I was on fire and the ideas were flowing. Then the lack of sleep caught up with me and the engine in me stalled. Doubt started to soak in and I started to feel overwhelmed by all the things that needed to be done immediately.
I've been in this spot before - "hello obstacle." It's totally normal. And once you get through it this time- it'll come back another time. Since we know this, we can make a plan to shake it- each and every time.
Here are some ideas that work not just in business but with many types of challenges:
1. Make a list. The best way to block that overwhelming feeling is to take note of all of the tasks, prioritize them and put dates on them. By organizing these tasks it helps you make sure nothing gets left out, ensures that the most important items are done first, and gives you a linear view of what needs to be tackled.
2. Sometimes you just need to step away from the project to let it spark again in your mind. Go for a hike, grab a coffee or do something with a friend.
3. Find your inspiration again by doing research, talk to potential customers, or write a short business plan.
